Disclosure
How this site is funded — and what we turn down
Current status: no affiliate or advertising relationships. As of October 2026, IRA Gold Coins Guide receives no compensation from any gold IRA company, dealer, custodian, or depository. No page contains affiliate links. When that changes, this page will name the arrangement before any compensated link appears anywhere on the site.
FTC disclosure (when compensation exists)
In the future, this site may accept compensation when readers act on referrals — for example, when a reader contacts a custodian through a link, or downloads a dealer catalog through one. In that event the FTC-required notice will appear here and at the top of the affected page: "We may receive compensation when you open an account with or purchase from companies we link to. Compensation does not influence our guides' statements of rule or our sources."
Editorial independence
- Specs are sourced to primary documents (the statute, IRS publications, mint spec sheets); no company payment can change a sourced spec.
- The desk names no dealer as a recommendation, and describes verifiable checks — custodian product lists, refiner accreditation, written premiums against spot — rather than ranked endorsements.
- Negative findings (premium traps, the vintage-bar problem, proof-coin pitches) are reported from regulators' and exchanges' own documents and stay published.
Government affiliation and terminology
IRA Gold Coins Guide is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Internal Revenue Service, the United States Mint, or any other government agency. "IRA approved," "IRS approved," and similar phrases are market terminology used descriptively — the law sets fineness standards and names certain coins; it approves no product, dealer, or depository. Any catalog or download offered through this site, present or future, would be identified as a dealer document, not an IRS publication.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is tax, legal, or investment advice, and no attorney-client or fiduciary relationship is created by reading it. Guides explain published rules; your specific situation — tax bracket, plan type, state taxes, timing — is a question for a qualified CPA, enrolled agent, or attorney.
